Purpose of this list: Finding and meeting VC’s and investors is no easy task for any founder no matter how well connected they might be. This list is aimed to provide a starting point highlighting some of the most recently active investors.
Great list… now what: If you’re a founder looking to pitch your startup you first need to create a short list of investors you want to pitch to. This list could provide part of that. Pick a few companies in this list, see their past investments, which countries they invest in and craft a personal email or Linkedin message to them if you think they would be interested.
I sent a load of emails, but didn’t get any responses: Welcome to the startup world… But in all seriousness some VC’s will get back to you with feedback if you’re lucky, but most are simply too busy to deal with all the messages they get.
Do not get discouraged, send a follow up email asking for feedback and work on your pitching. Rejection is not a reflection on your company, just how you pitched it. There is countless stories of people getting rejected 100 times before finally getting funding. See the Qwil story.
