Startup Profile: Dime Alley

December 15, 2021

Dime Alley is a US loans connection service set-up in 2021 by Ben Sweiry who wanted to help Americans find financial assistance in a post-pandemic world.

Dime Alley offers a fully-online process giving ordinary Americans the opportunity to apply for loans services. After completing a fast and simple five-minute application form, applicants will be matched with a lender who suits their personal financial needs, taking into account personal details such as income, credit history, and details of the loan, including borrowing length and amount.

With Dime Alley, customers can borrow anywhere between $100 and $35,000, for as little time as 1-month or as long as 60-months, and from the time of applying, could receive their financial support in as little as one hour.

After 2 years of the coronavirus pandemic, Ben saw the effect that it was having on the financial situations of American citizens. According to Statista, 12% of Americans with an income of less than 50,000 U.S. dollars reported that they have personally lost a job due to the pandemic, and a further 11% reported a family member has lost a job.

“The coronavirus pandemic has undoubtedly had an impact on the financial stability of ordinary American citizens”, explained his colleague Daniel, who has over 10 years of experience working in the consumer finance industry in the US and the UK. “I personally know of friends and family members who were made redundant over the past 2 years due to cutbacks being made by companies struggling during the pandemic.”

“With Dan’s experience in the industry and our eagerness to provide some sort of financial relief to Americans who suffered during the pandemic, setting-up Dime Alley was really a no-brainer for us”, Ben added.

As a loan connection service, Dime Alley does not charge their customers a broker fee, admin fee or loan request form fee. Instead, they charge their lending partners a commission if the customers’ loan enquiry is successful, really putting the customer first.

Available across 37 states in the US, including California and Texas, Dime Alley’s services are open to people with all sorts of credit backgrounds and financial history, and even better, applying for a loan with Dime Alley will have no implication whatsoever on a customer’s credit score. Whether you need a product that will simply tide you over until your next payday, an emergency loan to help with an unexpected bill or an installment loan, Dime Alley will match you with a lender to suit your needs.
